Betrayed & Left Alone

th-1Betrayed and Left Alone

During Supper, when the disciples were sharing the bread Jesus broke a piece of bread to and gave it to Judas to eat and then satan entered in to him. Jesus told Judas to go and do what you have to. Jesus knew what was coming, He was going to be betrayed into the hands of his enemies, the religious leaders who hated Him because Jesus called them out on their hard hearts and love of the things of this world instead of God.

Isn’t it strange how  we can relate something like this in our lives? We assume someone is a nice person, you have treated them fairly, you may even love them and then you find out they have walked away from you, spoken about you negatively and all the while you felt like you were doing the right thing. But people are naturally sinful and have a sinful nature  and just as Jesus was knowingly betrayed by his enemies, he was also betrayed by the leader of the disciples, Peter, who He trusted so much and God revealed it to Jesus this way; Simon Peter asked him, “Lord, where are you going?”Jesus replied, “Where I am going, you cannot follow now, but you will follow later.”Peter asked, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.” Then Jesus answered, “Will you really lay down your life for me? Very truly I tell you, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times! John 13:36-38

Through this Jesus continues to pray for them even though He is facing death on a cross, betrayal and being left alone. But His Heavenly Father was with Him all the way to the cross and for this very reason, Jesus Blood on that cross has covered our sin debt. So this very day (Good Friday) is a day to repent your sins to Jesus and ask for a relationship with Him because He saved your life over 2000 years ago and He has never left you even if you feel as though he has. If you don’t know what this really means ask Jesus to come into your heart and show you because you are never alone when you have the One and only Son, the Savior of your life that came in for you and paid your debt.

New Year, New Results?

Here it is 2016 and 2015 just flew by! As I look back over 2015 I think about how much I have grown in a year. I guess I am saying that what I used to put all my emotional energy into, I now find it was really a waste of time. Many times I anguished over remarks that people made or something I said that I beat myself up over for a while but realize now that, it was too much time wasted and with no peace. As the end of the year approached I found a sense of growth that God had put into my life, by that I mean faith.

I was living a life two years ago that was providing an income every week that was amazing, but I lost my soul, I was working for the paycheck, struggling with emotions and resenting that I had to continue in that way basically till I retired. Then the bottom fell out and in the matter of three days my prayer requests went from “please God change my life” to “oh no, I don’t have an income”. So as I have always done, I document my days spent with God in prayer and when I looked back, I started with the despartion prayers of where can I find a job that I will like to ending in prayer “your will Lord, not mine”on December 31,2015.

There’s a part of us that just can’t see what God is doing, He may have separated you from a person, a job, a situation that was harmful to you or someone was taken from you that you loved dearly. But God wants us to put Him first because if you put your faith in this world that’s a dead end, we must put our hope and faith in God and go to Him for everything.

Romans 5:1 (NIV) Peace and Hope
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

So have you really looked at the growth in your life over the past year? Have you matured as a Christian, becoming more like Him? Or are you still wondering why things haven’t changed in you or your circumstances? Do you have a child that you feel is lost or a marriage that is just getting worse? Have you gone to God in faith to change you or them, sometimes placing that person at the throne of God?

Pray: Lord, change me and make me more like you, forgive me and help me grow because I need you more than ever now, help me to love more and to rest in you when things get difficult. Amen

Yom Kippur-Holy Day

Yom Kippur in the Jewish religion is the day set for atonement of sins, as you read below through parts of  Leviticus God gives Moses clear instructions on what to do and when to do them. There is a process that God had them follow and as we look on these sacred duties of the priests, begin by looking at verse 16 God has told Moses and given instruction for Aaron not to go into the Most Holy place whenever he wanted or he will die.

Leviticus 16 (NIV)

The Day of Atonement
16 The Lord spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron who died when they approached the Lord. 2 The Lord said to Moses: “Tell your brother Aaron that he is not to come whenever he chooses into the Most Holy Place behind the curtain in front of the atonement cover on the ark, or else he will die. For I will appear in the cloud over the atonement cover.

Let’s move down to verse 29 God tells them exact timing and instructions for this very Holy Day

29 “This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: On the tenth day of the seventh month you must deny yourselves[c] and not do any work—whether native-born or a foreigner residing among you— 30 because on this day atonement will be made for you, to cleanse you. Then, before the Lord, you will be clean from all your sins. 31 It is a day of sabbath rest, and you must deny yourselves; it is a lasting ordinance. 32 The priest who is anointed and ordained to succeed his father as high priest is to make atonement. He is to put on the sacred linen garments 33 and make atonement for the Most Holy Place, for the tent of meeting and the altar, and for the priests and all the members of the community.

34 “This is to be a lasting ordinance for you: Atonement is to be made once a year for all the sins of the Israelites.”

And it was done, as the Lord commanded Moses.

What does this mean for a Christian of today? God will always look at this His Holy Day, but He gave us Jesus as the sacrificial lamb, Jesus came in to die on the cross so that these Old Testament rules of sacrifice are obsolete, done-over.

How blessed are we that we don’t have to do this? Do you want to be forgiven of sins?  Pray “Jesus, I am a sinner, please forgive me, wash me clean and I make you my Lord and Savior”  as many have said one and done. No fasting, nothing held, except the love and sacrifice of Jesus for us on the cross.

Shalom to you on this day, Pray!

Having Faith Through Difficulty

These are difficult days, there will more ahead and we must all be prepared to lean more on God for everything. If you were depending on the world to make you happy that will almost always be an empty well, nothing will spring up from this world and what it offers. But if we hold steadfast to God’s word, we will be able to weather any storm ahead and be the beacon of light for others to see.

So that being said, Have Faith!

Hebrews 11:1 says Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

If we look back on the people in the Old Testament, we can read about what great faith the people of that time had and God being faithful, always gave them the hope that He would do what He promises. I love that, I love the assurance that God will do what He promises, He will never leave us or forsake us. That’s awesome!

Well I will be praying for you, no matter who you are and hoping that you will work on your faith, hold strong to it and you will see God work things out in your life you never thought were possible.

Shalom and much Christian love

Stand Firm For Jesus

These are the days that much prayer is needed, if we are to face what is ahead then we will need all of the things that God has promised us a boldness to stand with jesus for truth and justice.  I have to say that so many times the world has offered us a way to  grow in selfishness and at the end of getting what we want it’s always emptiness. But when you stand with God, your life will be forever His and the riches of this world will be a yesterday thought.

Having a rich relationship with jesus is the way to the Father, Jesus tells us this. But as the days of this world grow colder, we need to stand firm on Jesus, what His promises are and how to behave when the attacks of satan are coming our way. The boldness you show for Jesus will be recorded and spoken about in heaven, be assured, the way to the Father is through His one and only Son Jesus Christ.

Shalom and Happy- Ross Hashanna

Simply Grateful

This morning I woke up early and realized that tomorrow is the first day of Fall 2014, I had a wonderful Summer this year, best one in over 14 years. I didn’t go anywhere, didn’t do anything special at all to tell you about but I spent this summer healing from a lot of things that happen in the first part of the year. It wasn’t pretty.

I left a church, my sewer backed on to the basement floor-on Easter day, I had root canal and lost my corporate job of seven years all within 3 months.

Talk about when you go through a season, that was rough. But God was making a way!

All the things that happened opened a door for me, I was healing from some bad experiences and I had to trust the Lord with whatever he had for me next, talk about faith! I had that even though I was dragged through mud and mire I saw God working in my life, wow, it could not have been better that.

So I sit here telling you this because I am so grateful for this is my testimony, when bad things happen, it really is a time for healing when you pass through that season. Now it will be a new season and who knows what God will do now! I’m looking forward to it. Shalom-Nancy

Holy Ghost Movie

I had just viewed the Holy Ghost Movie made by Bethel.tv

I was amazed at the amount of evangelism and stepping out in faith these men were doing. From local to India sharing their faith of love of God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, faith, healing and indwelling of spiirt was so abundant in the film. It was about 184 minutes long but well worth it for the gospel message it produced.

I was also amazed at the people who were featured, the band Korn, as I recalled years back they were not very holy in anything they produced -but now, Christ has taken over their lives in spirit they are praying for people, healing in Jesus name and more! Talk about a transformation experience!

The message is clear in this movie, not about religion… it’s about relationship with Jesus. Please support this film.

Center Yourself In Jesus

This weekend marks the end of a great summer, here in the east, it’s been glorious, we have had some great days!

As we wind down, it’s always time to think and refocus on what we have done during our summer, I know for myself it’s time to refocus and center my life in Jesus. In the early spring  left a church that I loved very dearly, loved the people and the great things that were being accomplished through some of my efforts of recruiting and speaking to others about Jesus. I had been convicted by a friend on “being on a slippery slope”and called out from the Holy Spirit to take leave of absence. It was extremely difficult. But now I go to a Gospel Church that is awesome and I am resting there.

But as the summer moved along, I realized that the temptation to go back to that church a few times, then I remembered why I left and the yoke of slavery I would have been under just working and not reaping all the Jesus had for me. So I resisted and still think so much about it, but I am so much better now just centering myself in Jesus.

Now I say to you are you centering yourself in Jesus? Have you put him aside for other things? Jesus tells us you cannot divide your loyalty as He said in Luke 16:13-“No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.” My thought is Jesus is trying to tell us, make Him the center not the stuff of the world that distracts you.

Hope you have a great weekend my beloved!

Shalom

What does the Bible say about False Teachers

Todays message short but to the point.

Occasionally I will run into someone who will tell me that they have gone to a Tarot card reader or listened to some false psychic on Tv or wherever. The Bible clearly tells us not to follow such ways, That is against God, it’s one of His first Commandments-“Don’t put any false gods before me.” Following these false people is following deceptive spirits that do not come from God our Father, stop trusting people for informational about your future and start trusting God who is the creator of all.    Shalom

This is from About.com-Christianity

http://christianity.about.com/od/whatdoesthebiblesay/a/talkingtodead_2.htm

Hebrews 4:14
That is why we have a great High Priest who has gone to heaven, Jesus the Son of God. Let us cling to him and never stop trusting him. (NLT)
1 Timothy 2:5
For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and people. He is the man Christ Jesus. (NLT)
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God’s way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do. (NLT)
2 Peter 1:3
As we know Jesus better, his divine power gives us everything we need for living a godly life. He has called us to receive his own glory and goodness! (NLT)

Are psychic experiences of talking with the dead real?
Yes, I believe they can be very real, but not true experiences of talking with dead people. The Bible considers these experiences to be associated with deceiving spirits, demons, angels of light or counterfeits for the true Spirit of God.

1 Timothy 4:1
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. (NIV)
1 Corinthians 10:20-21
No, not at all. What I am saying is that these sacrifices are offered to demons, not to God. And I don’t want any of you to be partners with demons. You cannot drink from the cup of the Lord and from the cup of demons, too. You cannot eat at the Lord’s Table and at the table of demons, too. (NLT)
2 Corinthians 11:14-15
But I am not surprised! Even Satan can disguise himself as an angel of light. So it is no wonder his servants can also do it by pretending to be godly ministers. In the end they will get every bit of punishment their wicked deeds deserve. (NLT)
2 Thessalonians 2:9-10
The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. (NIV)
What about Saul, Samuel and the witch of Endor?

There is one somewhat confusing account in Scripture that seems to be the ‘exception to the rule’ in 1 Samuel 28:1–25. After the death of the prophet Samuel, King Saul was terrified of the threatening Philistine army and desperate to know the Lord’s will. In his helpless desperation, he resorted to consulting with a medium, the witch of Endor.
Using demonic powers of sorcery, she called up Samuel. But when he appeared, even she was startled, for she had expected a satanic apparition and not Samuel himself. Shocked that God had intervened for Saul, the witch of Endor knew this “spirit coming up out of the ground” was not the result of her demonic conjuring.

So, Samuel’s appearance here can only be explained as the unprecedented intervention of the Lord in response to Saul’s hopeless desperation, permitting him one firm and final encounter with the prophet. The event in no way indicates God’s endorsement of talking to the dead or consulting with mediums.

In fact, Saul is condemned for these actions in 1 Chronicles 10:13-14: “Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord; he did not keep the word of the Lord and even consulted a medium for guidance, and did not inquire of the Lord. So the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.” (NIV)

God has repeatedly made it clear in his Word that guidance is never to be obtained from mediums, physics or sorcerers, but rather, from the Lord himself.

Gods Playing Field

Each ady we make a decision to follow God, many times when you are caught up with the things of this world, you follow other things. What does God say about this in His Commandments?

I am the one and only God, you shall not put any gods before me. So that being said, I say to you what are you doing that prevents you from following the one true God?  If only people would see themselves from Gods perspective they might understand that He is a very jealous God and when you worship other things and put them before Him, he gets angry. For He is the glory of Heaven and earth and should always be worshipped like that.

So when you ae on Gods playing field you have to look at things from his view and trust in him not people or things that drive you away. The perfect way is to have a relationship with Jesus Christ and do not look at any other gods. Jesus is waiting for you, right now to come to him, seek his face make him your Lord and Savior as you ask him to forgive your past sins and rebuke the time you spend not seeking Him. Be sure to read the Gospels and hear Jesus speak to you through them. Jesus was a sacrificial lamb sent by The Father for you, he shed his blood for your sin, he redeemed your life through His death and resurrection, There is no god/gods that have done this. Seek Jesus, change your life!

Shalom
