Please God, Live Forever

1 John 2:17

And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave.

But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

God has given us such an amazing planet to enjoy. The beauty is outstanding in all four corners of the earth, but as we know, the earth is fading away and we draw closer to heaven, which is or real home.

But how about the people we know that put their faith in this world and what it provides? Yes we could see it all and never be satisfied, we could have every luxury that we set our eyes on. We could try to stay as youthful as possible, for some changing their appearance just to stay as young for as long as possible.

The question is, how long do you think the world will sustain you? Do you thirst for Christ? Since He is the living water, the bread from Heaven and with Him we can be set free from the desires of this world and set on a heavenly home ahead. The things of this world are empty, but with Christ are fulfilling!

Have you given yourself over to Christ? Have you prayed the sinners prayer which is,

Jesus, please forgive me of my sins, I want to make you the Lord of my life, with you I know that I am saved and transformed daily by your love. Amen.

When you come to Christ, your life becomes renewed, it’s a journey and process of transformation every day, so don’t give up or give in, the rewards are beyond great, not here on earth but ahead in heaven.

You Can’t Go Back There

Have you ever gone through some difficult times, when you know that the place you loved and cared about had to come to an end? Sadly, this happens to all of us, we leave careers for retirement or downsize, we leave a church because you moved or just started attending somewhere else. But the thing that amazes me is that even when we try to go back, it’s fine for a short time but then you realize how much you have grown since you were gone and you just can’t go back there.

That’s the wonderful grace of our Lord, He’s always changing us, helping us to grow and to see things from another perspective, how comforting to be able to know He has  plans ahead for us and how He changes us inside out to get us ready for them.I have met so many wonderful people along the way, but not everything is meant to stay the same for your whole lifetime. Growing is important, just as breathing is, if we don’t make the move or draw ourselves closer to Jesus, we will miss out on all the blessings He is going to give, we merely have to trust Him for whatever will be next for us. So hold fast, you may not understand why you were separated from something or someone, but God is working on that right now because His love for you surpasses all the things you worry about, don’t you know how high wide and deep His love is for you?He won’t leave you without a greater plan!

This is my favorite scripture because I live knowing that there is so more to see and do and that God has plans for me and you!

1 Corinthians 2:9

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived, what God has planned for those who love Him.

God’s Grace by Nancy Sabato on Kindle

America, what happened?

Isaiah 16:10

 Joy and gladness are taken away from the orchards;
no one sings or shouts in the vineyards;
no one treads out wine at the presses,
for I have put an end to the shouting.

For many years America grew and prospered, for many of us, we lived a good quiet life and God was the head of our lives. We went to church (some out of guilt, others for the love of Christ) and tried to obey God’s commandments and if we strayed, we would always have a conscience about our actions. This great country America, has now closed it’s doors on God, taking His commandments out of the schools, buildings and even some churches as people go their own way ignoring the Creator. God is patient and kind, He shows mercy, but for how long?

If everything you had today, all your wealth, house, family was gone, what would sustain your spirit? So it is when God takes everything from this earth, don’t act surprised when you read this, but God will destroy the earth, we do not know when but many are saying we are getting closer as signs and wonders fill the skies and the earth.

So then, if today, you were to meet God, what would you say?                                   Were you ashamed of Him?                                                                                           Did you stop someone from sharing the gospel with you?                                             How are you really preparing for the end of your life?

All these are important questions, as well as what did you do in God’s name for others? How did you serve Christ and partake in the lives of others?

My hope for you, brother and sister that you heed to the words of God through scripture and go to Jesus in prayer and thanksgiving as you repent of the sins you have done through your life. Listen, we all have fallen short of the grace of God, but it is God’s grace that saves you.

“In The Last Days”

Acts 2:17 ‘In the last days,’ God says,
‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy.
Your young men will see visions,
and your old men will dream dreams.

My friends, those of you that love the Lord, my prayer for you this day is to be strong in the Lord and He will lift you up. The persecution of Christians is coming in a fierce way. We will not have rights as time moves forward unless we stay in prayer and focus on Jesus. This is a pivotal time in History, things are changing and laws are being passed that do not adhere to Gods word. So that being said my friends, pray, pray, pray!

We are to love others and pray for our enemies even the ones that go against God, for we are not people’s judge, only God is. Leave it all to Him in these dark days. But we have the light of Christ, so be that for others!

Blessing & Faith

Isn’t it wonderful when you come through a storm in your life and at the end the blessing from God appears?

We just never know where God will lead us in storms, the storm may feel overwhelming and the situation won’t ever end or you don’t understand why things are going the way they are, what’s the hold up? But God has such an amazing outcome of blessing, doesn’t He?

You may never know what God’s plan is for your life, why you came into the world and what your steps will be. But instead of trying to figure it all out, surrender it all to God and see His mighty hand work in ways unimaginable and that my friends is where faith   sets in to you, having a lifestyle of waiting.

So I will leave you with this scripture for today:

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

We must always: Walk By Faith

We must always:
Walk By Faith

Changing The Way You Pray

So often I am looking just for the right prayer, do I look in a prayer-book, the psalms, where is the best place to find just the right prayer?

Oh how the Holy Spirit is your guide on this matter, He knows your heart and what you need, as you depend on Him so much more your prayer life becomes more dependant on Him. He guides the prayer, sometimes to a psalm, sometimes the deep internal need from your soul. Our connection to Jesus is through the Holy Spirit’s guidance and who would know you better than He? (yes, the Holy Spirit is a He)

But let us never to forget what Jesus told us to pray,

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.

Remember we must follow what the scriptures say to us, pray without ceasing. Shalom

The Bigger Picture

Often times, it seems like when things aren’t going the way we want them to, like when  we lash out or are wondering what’s the hold up? The things that motivate us to get what we need right now isn’t the way that God sees our destiny. Prayers can be unanswered sometimes, ok maybe a lot, but many are answered. That doesn’t mean God doesn’t hear us, it’s His timing, not ours.

So if you are stuck in traffic, instead of moping about, thank God, He may just be saving you for the unknown ahead. An example of this is, when ever we get frustrated with a light or with people going 15 miles an hour ahead of us, instead of throwing a fit, think that God is at work and so are His angels of protection.

Sunrise from the East

Sunrise from the East

The bigger picture is so overlooked, we want what we want, right now! But God sees something better, that picture could bring about a changing in your life that you thought could never happen. We ask God to give us “stuff” but He’s bigger than the stuff and what he’s going to do in you next will be monumental!

Gifts Fade-Jesus Lasts Forever

It’s about two weeks away from the celebration and remembrance of Christ, anticipated by the world. But how many are actually celebrating with this in mind? Other than Christians that are celebrating the joy of an anticipated savior. The other people are anticipating gifts and may not even know the whole reason behind it.

Often you see ad’s for extravagant gifts that people give to each other or “Buy Now!” so you can make that over budget purchase that is regretted later. For What? This is not the true spirit of Christmas. People scurrying at “Black Friday” trampling others for gifts that will fade away over time and be forgotten.

I say to you the one and only gift that truly matters is Christ and that gift is free!

So when you make that heavy-duty purchase, you know the one you can’t afford or maybe that person doesn’t appreciate (or does) just remember that 2000 years ago the most beautiful and glorious free gift was given to us and if you want to share this free gift of Jesus, just quote this and ask if people know why they celebrate and gather

“Joy to the world, the Savior’s come, let earth receive it’s King!”

Maybe they don’t know who the King is-perfect intro into what Jesus did for us when He came.

Now go, make disciples!

Storms In Life

It’s the end of the year and as I look back over all this events of 2014 I will have to say they were very stormy.  I can’t recall a day when I said this year has been great. Everyone I know has some kind of crisis going on in their life.

But you know, I continue to think how God stayed with me through all the storms. I felt left alone alot in my thoughts, but somehow knew that God had a plan through all the trials of losing my job, walking away from a church that I loved so much. There was a plan that I just could not see through this all. I took a Monday Evening class at Hawthorne Gospel Church on 1 Peter that really helped me just at the end of the class, when the Pastor Dave Anderson spoke about the trials that we go through, sometimes persecution in ways that aren’t fair, losses that can really hurt or destroy us. It was a really rough year but ultimately a really great year! Losing my job meant I have to depend on God more fully, just waiting on His direction is a faith I never knew. Standing in the faith with God is something that cannot be explained unless you are walking in it yourself, day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute. It is by this faith that He alone has opened doors in my heart that I completely trust in Him all the time to guide and direct my path.

I saw my prayers take a total change from self asking to asking God for His will, I stopped thinking about what I wanted and looked heavenward for what He wants. It wasn’t easy and I had alot of time to restructure and heal from a long time of just not knowing what to do. So seeing alot of things change in my life that I just didn’t understand when I was going through it I was at times devestated and I could not understand why God was changing my circumstances, why would he take a job away from me, a church out of my life, health issues. What was God doing, He was developing my strength.

1 Peter 5:10 And the God of all grace through His eternal glory in Christ, though you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you, make you strong, firm and steadfast.

Thanks Pastor Dave Anderson

Where is God’s Hand In This All?

Chaos and more chaos, where is God’s hand in this all?

The Lord is working in ways we will never understand, for the days are coming when there will be no peace to be found at all. But we must be ready as Christians for the days ahead. We have to ask God where are you in this? Where is Jesus and when will this be over?

Look at the facts, people have turned away from the faith, churches are uprising in places that only can be put asunder. But we must stay in prayer for the days ahead, there are Christians all over the world that are praying for safety, do you pray for them? We are blessed to be able to sit in quiet confidence in our homes but these persecuted Christians are running for their lives and seeking safe havens. If you would take the time to pray for them, then they will know in their hearts that God is in control through prayer and supplication.
I hope you are pressing forward my friends and ask you for prayers not only for those Christians but for all Christians who are struggling at this time.
