Hebrews 6:12        We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

If you aren’t experiencing it currently there will be a time that you will. Discouragement is hard on a Christian because we know that God hears our prayers and sometimes wonder why He doesn’t answer them.

Discouragement means having faith that whatever the outcome, although it may not be what we want or believe- God knows that the end result is better for you. There may be times when you just don’t know what to do, maybe you have tried something that you think could work, but it fails miserably and you wonder why hasn’t God supported this?

Think, is it because when you started it you didn’t come in prayer fully to Him with the idea and let it rest on Him so that He may guide you to that outcome.

My dear friends, God puts desire in your hearts for the good of others so that you may glorify Him when the He blesses you.

Do you see that God is working in this way?

Discouragement is tough, but in faith God will show you through these trials that you will prevail in the end. When your focus is on the greater good of others, then you will be blessed according to God’s purposes and pleasure.

God doesn’t want us to give up either, if we feel led by the Holy Spirit to continue even if what you are trying to do gets tough, even if no one is encouraging you but you know deep down that you are suppose to be doing this –pray and seek God for His outcome and continue on unless He puts a stop to it.

There’s always that possibility that what drives you to accomplish goals and making that your focus, instead of Christ, then you must step back and seek God for guidance. There’s a reason the Holy Spirit could stop you.

Just remember that no matter what you do, if you are doing even the smallest of things for God, you are bringing glory to Him while you wait in faith for what He will do next in your life. Have Faith!

Lord you have all the answers, we don’t, so in my disappointment I seek you and will have faith that you know what’s best for me and you have the outcome. Help me to be strong, In Jesus name Amen

Power of Forgiveness

Mark 11:20-25  In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!”

“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered.  “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.  Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.  And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

What is Jesus saying to us in these Scriptures?

  • Have Faith
  • Pray
  • Believe and Receive
  • forgive
  • forgive sins

When you hold something against someone, even though God has heard your prayers if you aren’t forgiving someone, your prayers could be delayed or may not get answers. But if we take the choke hold of unforgiveness away, we can be open-hearted towards that person, forgiving their actions and letting it go. That’s what following Christ is all about, loving the unloveable and facing the will of God in all circumstances.

Stay focused on Christ, He will give you the strength to see things through his eyes and teach you His ways. Why not ask Him for this gift of mercy?

Have Faith, believe and you will receive!
