Today my heart is saddened by the amount of hate and anger there is going on around the world. The protests are out of control, anger has flooded the airways and people are upset.
What does this do for a human heart? Does it make the situation going on inside of you any better? No! It just produces more anger.
What is the answer? Stop, think and pray for wisdom. God is in Control of it all.
If you are carrying around bitterness this eats away at your mind and cannot be healthy for your body either. Instead why not try to focus everything on Jesus and know that He is the giver of peace, the peace that passes all understanding.
Bitterness is not going to change anything. So Set your hearts on Jesus, He has all the circumstances of your life and knows what you are facing, He knows what you agree or disagree with. We are powerless in our circumstances but God is over all and hears the cries of His people.
John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
There are seasons in your life that you wonder just how long it will last. Maybe you have been in a stand still with your job, your health, or relationships. Can I tell you that God makes things new in times of trials , former things pass away so that new beginnings can emerge. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
Maybe something you are going through is opening you up to something that He can change your life, use you for, or just that you need to let go of something that you have a tight grip on and need to let go of and give it over to Him.
Whatever it is give it to Jesus and let Him guide you to New Beginnings. Change is coming Have Faith!
King Solomon writes in all his wisdom:
A Time for Everything
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
A lovely woman I have just started to befriend, reminded me that God’s love is so BIG, she repeats this a lot and it confirms that whatever is going on in my life or anybody else’s life, I know that God’s love covers it all.
Do you know someone who could use that kind of encouragement?
I certainly do, everyone I know!!!
The NIV Bible (according to Biblegateway.com) says the word love appears 686 times. Do you think God is trying to tell us something? YES, he loves us! He wants us to love others too. I know it can be hard, someone has hurt or betrayed you, we never know how things will work out when we truly let go of our pride, show love and when you show love you are satisfying the law as Jesus said, “love one another.”
So look around you, do you see hurt people, either by the world or something that triggers their emotions to shut down? Pray for them, encourage them mostly love them. AMEN?
Father we thank you for your Son, without His shed blood on that cross, which He accomplished for us, our sins and the sins we have committed against others, you forgave us just because we loved you too.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
