Have Faith & Pray

There is a great misconception on how we are to pray and what happens when we pray. First there isn’t a certain time or place you need to be to reach our and communicate with your Heavenly Father. You could be driving down the road and just start talking to Him or you could be sitting quietly somewhere and just start to pray. It isn’t necessary to recite prayers or devotions just start that conversation. There isn’t anything that He doesn’t already know.

Reading the following out of the book Systematic Theology by Wayne Gruden

Gruden says:

The third reason God wants us to pray is that in prayer God allows us as creatures to be involved in activities that are eternally important when we pray the work of the kingdom is advanced in this way prayer gives us an opportunity to be involved in a significant way in the work of the kingdom and thus gives expression to our greatness as creatures made in God’s image

How can you advance the Kingdom of God? By talking to Him on a regular basis, asking in humbleness and obedience. If you do not ask you will not receive, be careful what you are asking for that it does not come from a self desire but for the good of others and placing that faith in knowing what you ask for is heard on High.

Stormie OMartian states in her book “The Power of a Praying Woman”

“I know God as my deliver he has set me free from many things including alcohol, drugs, fear, depression, anxiety and unforgiveness to mention just a few. I have seen the Lord set me free in an instant and I have also been through a process of deliverance that took years sometimes I had to fast and pray to get free. Sometimes it took of other strong believers praying for me and sometimes it happened just by being in the Lord’s presence”

No matter where we are in our lives God knows us so intimately. It isn’t God who has forgotten you but you putting God to the side. Reach out and pray ask for whatever you need in Jesus name and God will give you abundantly all you ask for if you trust and believe that he will.

Have faith and pray!
