In this world there are many trials, so much to be confronted with, when you start to settle down and rest, here comes another upheaval. But , what to do?
Paul tells us in Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again, Rejoice!
Paul tells us to “Let let your gentleness be evident to all”
Sometimes that’s hard! When we feel down or in the midst of a crisis do we want to rejoice? Most of the time no! But Paul writing from a prison is rejoicing, Peter and John often write about suffering for the Lord. When we are not rejoicing what are we doing? Are we in self-pity? Are we standing strong waiting for the Storm to be over. At that time we must remember to pray and ” Do not be anxious about anything but by everything in prayer and petition with thanksgiving present your requests to God (Phil 4:6)
Oh how I want to keep this in my memory or write it down as a quote on my desk, often times I find that small trials leave me burdened, but then I remember how blessed I am and to rejoice! Not to worry, or be frustrated, but to be patient that in Jesus we have the peace that transcends all understanding, and will guard our hearts and minds. (Phil 4:7)
So I say to you today, whatever it is that is going on in your life remember that it is for your spiritual growth and faith that it is happening. Jesus wants you to turn to Him and get that perfect peace that only HE can give, not the world
