Morals and Decay in this Country

This is what Solomon wrote in Proverbs,

Proverbs 28:2

New Living Translation (NLT)

When there is moral rot within a nation, its government topples easily.
But wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability.

Where is the country going? Moral Rot, a country without following God and His commandments is facing it’s own destiny. How many of you are seeing moral decay get increasingly worse by the day. Where does that put us in God’s sight? Not very good. It’s because of Him that this country was blessed from the days of the founding Fathers, it was them who prayed for Gods blessing and included Him in decisions not following the world and people and what they want in sin.

Where do you see this Country headed?

Church Leaders

If Paul the apostle of Christ was in your church today would you welcome his message? Paul’s teaching was about his struggles in the world following Christ and the ways that the world behaved. He found himself in situations that were rough, he preached that people were not turning to the Lord and following his commandments that they were just going their own way turning to their own selfish desires.Paul wrote to Timothy with encouragement because he knew what he was facing that even though he preached the gospel, the church at Ephesus did not reflect what Jesus taught. Paul needed to tell Timothy to set an example for the believers

In 1 Timothy 3 Paul talks about how the deacons in the church should behave-temporate, self controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach.

Church today may not reflect these things, many people leave church because there just is no room for them to grow as a Christian or that someone has hurt them and they don’t see that particular church as a place of godliness, sadly the churches today are focused on their own agenda and not God’s. The mega churches are growing because people are seeking a connection to Jesus and to others that just may want to go to church just to worship and not have to deal with some of the personalities that surface or having to be accountable for a job that is given.

Paul goes on to say that “people ought to know how to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God the pillar and foundation of truth. Beyond all question the mystery of godliness is great.

Are we as church leaders, reflecting Jesus? Are we welcoming people from the outside? Or is it the social club? God cares for the people inside but also for the people on the outside. There are people who struggle and can’t cope, sick, disease, maybe someone has a depression we don’t even know about and just needs to sit in our church and feel Gods presence. We should examine if there is something that God is not blessing in our own church because there are teachings and behavior that don’t reflect Him.

If I could leave you with anything today, it would be to rethink how your church is open to outsiders and not to put any burdens on the people that are currently attending. They may just want to sit and pray, to just to be with God – that is what He wants us to do, let us try to remember how we conduct ourselves as Christians. OMEN

1Timothy 4:12″Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love in faith and in purity.”
