Following Christ

1 John 3:4-6

New International Version (NIV)

4 Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 5 But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin. 6 No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

When we follow Christ, we should be  paying attention to our actions and learning to avoid sin, yes, Our Savior forgives our sins, but we must be aware of when we sin and not intentionally continue to do it or promote it. It’s a world that is committed to living for self, but self leaves when you are allowing Christ closely and then the sins that overtake you – are not breaking you anymore you know how to handle it.

New Day a New Prayer

based on so much that is happening in the world to-day, God has so many plans for you ans=d me. Don’t let what people say or do effect you when you are making such good progress in your journey with HIM!

HE has your back, where as people do not. Just remember who blesses you, not people! GOD does, keep that perspective and you will be ok!

AMEN

Pastors that comply with same sex marriages:When is Sin “OK” ?

Today I read an article in the paper titled “Pastors seek to end same sex-union ban. ”

It states that” A growing number of pastors in the United Methodist Church say they’re no longer willing to obey a church rule that prohibits them from officiating at same-sex marriages, despite the potential threat of being disciplined or dismissed.”

Ok, are these the same people/pastors that are reading the same book as you and me? I’m talking about the Bible… did they forget about Gods commands, or let’s go to  1 Corinthians 6:9  “Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men”

Sadly, these pastors want to overrule the same-sex union ban.

 Are these things of GOD??

Technology Good or Bad?

One day not long ago, I was working in the field (sales by trade) and I walked into a Diner in New Jersey on Route 10. As I waited for the manager to come out, I stood and watched three men sitting on the stools at the counter, checking their Iphones-text messages. I watched for a little while and realized that they weren’t talking to each other and had an opportunity to do that. Instead the technology has separated them, or shall I say isolated them. They weren’t speaking to one another, I thought how sad is this? I can’t believe that people have come to this. But why don’t I think that it’s just another Devil’s tool to separate people from knowing one another and from seeking companionship. Sort of like the computer and video games another tool devised to separate you from people to isolate you and keep you occupied so you don’t spend time talking to people in your family or calling some friends on the phone.

Don’t get me wrong, I am guilty of this. At times checking email while on the phone with someone who I should really be giving my time to. So the only thing I can say is if this rings true for you, limit the time you spend on the computer and start paying attention to human beings because we don’t live forever and our precious time here with the people we love is very dear. I hope you are encouraged and understand what I am saying,

God Bless you, till my next post!

The Strength To Carry On

As we trial through life with unexpected twists and turns sometimes you just want to stand still and hope it all passes as fast as it came. Spiritually, it’s a test of our souls, everything good and bad is a test of our faith and endurance, love for Christ and growth in our journey with Him.

Yes, it’s hard at times, really hard! But when the real big waves come, it’s afterward that you reflect back and think, how did I make it through that? The Lord is always good has many lessons for you and me as we lean harder and harder on Him and trust Him at every good and bad turn. Pray for Peace, pray for people you don’t know and ask God for His grace and utmost wisdom to encourage others when they don’t understand their trials. AMEN

Unity in Christ

Our time spent with Christ is precious, do not adhere to the world’s tugging and pulling of your spirit- make time to pray and to seek out those who are in devotion to Christ- you need the encouragement of your brothers and sisters to stay in your fight against anything that takes time away from your complete love and devotion to the Lord.

Therefore we must be united in Christ as Paul in Ephesians 4:5  has said: one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one Godand father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
